20 mile training run on the schedule for tomorrow morning!
This will be my 2nd 20 miler on this training schedule and in order to get done in time to spend some time with our families and get to kids’ sporting events Saturday morning, we are starting at…5am – YIKES!
That kind of “insanity” calls for perhaps a little something to look forward to at the end of the run…
Other than, the sheer gratification of knowing you just finished 20 miles…
Something salty, something sweet, something chocolate…
You won’t believe this treat when I tell you what it’s made of,
Not sure that there’s really even a recipe, just 3 ingredients:
Fritos Corn Chips covered with melted caramel and chocolate chips!
I can’t take credit for this concoction on my own, rather, it was presented as a “comfort food” by a neighbor and dear family friend from my childhood, during a recent extended family gathering!
The combination seems quite crazy, but sweet, salty and crunchy, it is quite a tasty treat! And I made a BIG pan to share with the ladies of my marathon training group tomorrow morning!
Question the combination if you must, it still makes me giggle, but then crunch into the caramel, chocolate, salty goodness and ENJOY! – 20 Miles says, “You’ve earned it!”

That sounds yummy! Can I have it as my 10K treat tomorrow?
