Getting Started

Many days I profess that the most difficult thing I do each day, is just getting out the door in the morning!

As a mom, this is true because there are little ones to bathe, dress, feed, (sometimes re-dress after breakfast), check homework, pack lunches and backpacks, get a little breakfast into me and get us all out the  door to get to school on time!

As a runner, this is true because some days the alarm goes off long before the sun is up, some days my body feels more like crawling into a hole to hibernate rather than pounding the pavement during a training run, but it is also true that once I’ve completed a run, I always feel better than before I started!

So…what does it take to get started on a Running Program or a new Fitness Routine? Recently, I have had several close friends ask me to help them either get started or stay motivated along their fitness paths.  So I developed the Go Running Mom Getting Started Survey which consits of 10 questions to help me to gather basic information regarding current fitness and motivation levels.
